Honest takes from pros and readers about Lizabeth and the Great Tooth Fairy Blunder

Must read 🏆

A wonderful, whimsical story that teaches empathy, acknowledging and fixing mistakes, while embracing the magic of the Tooth Fairy.

Lizabeth was a sweet little girl who had a very big real-life problem: She was afraid to be alone in the dark. This fear kept her up longer than her parents would like, but her mother had a plan. Lizabeth's mother gifted her a tiny, handmade doll named Luna. This unique-looking doll once protected the mom, and now it will protect Lizabeth as she sleeps.

The Tooth Fairy has an important late-night job, and the long nights can take their toll, especially if they forget their energizing fairy juice. One night, the lack of juice caused the Tooth Fairy to take Lizabeth's protection doll instead of her tooth. A mistake that both looked to fix. Lizabeth planned to catch the fairy once they returned for her tooth, while the fairy wanted to swap the doll for the tooth without being seen. Read the story to find out which plan went off without a hitch.

Lizabeth and the Great Tooth Fairy Blunder teaches kids that mistakes will happen, and that's okay, but it also highlights the importance of acknowledging errors and making things right. It emphasizes themes of empathy and problem-solving, while embracing the magical world of the Tooth Fairy. Speaking of the magical, mythical being, I loved their large, glowing wings. Lizabeth's smile was adorable, too; I loved the gap between her top, center teeth. So cute!

Lizabeth and the Great Tooth Fairy Blunder is perfect for a school or home setting. I loved the inclusion of the 6 types of pillows from different times and locations. Kids will especially like the froggie one. I bet young listeners will be excited to share what pillow pet they have at home. The story also offers an opportunity to discuss how kids would set a trap for the Tooth Fairy. It might prompt them to speak about any fears and how they handle them. But even if kids remain silent, it is a great story to read, especially when a child loses their first tooth.

I agree with Amazon's recommended reading age: 4-8 years.
